Andrew Byer, president and founder of Magnum Opus Audio, has been involved in audio for 30 years. He is a true fanatic and loves music and movies. When he isn’t listening to his own system or setting up systems for others, you can find him at the concert hall, local jazz club or engrossed in a movie.

In order to be as intimately familiar with as much equipment as possible, he incessantly buys and sells audio gear to rotate in and out of his own system. And then he listens. And then he tweeks the gear and listens some more. He takes the time to fully understand the most important aspect of high-end audio: system synergy. You see, you can’t just put any amplifier with any speakers or any speakers with any cable. They have to work well together. It is this vast mental database in Mr. Byer’s head that makes all the difference in the world.

Mr. Byer has set-up countless systems and knows how to make every one sound glorious, whether it’s a humble $5000 bedroom system or a million dollar state-of-the-art masterpiece. Although we are based in South Florida, we can (and have) set-up systems all over in the world.
